Description of Opportunity: Electromechanical Maglev Bilingual Engineer

General Requirements:

Magplane Technology, Inc. is an emerging company whose success depends on a core of key employees that have a broad range of skills. The company is seeking an experienced analyst with broad, proven, and successful experience in maglev analysis and related analytical skills. A minimum of five years experience in the analysis of maglev system and maglev components is required. Moreover, The company's primary business market is in China, where support analysis and selected manufacturing will take place.  Consequently, to meet his/her job requirements, the individual must be fluent, spoken and written, in both the English and Mandarin Chinese languages.

In addition, an advanced graduate degree, demonstrated ability to effectively interact with both US and Chinese technologists, and a pre-established relationship with the Chinese Maglev community is highly desirable.

Specific Responsibilities:

The individual will be expected to take responsibility for carrying out or supervising:

• Maglev system analysis to optimize system components
• Six-degree-of-Motion dynamic analysis of vehicle behavior
• Vehicle dynamic control system programming
• Electro-mechanical analysis of vehicle suspension systems
• Magnetic field analysis of maglev levitation and propulsion
• Magnetic shielding analysis
• Aerodynamic analysis of the vehicle drag and aerodynamic damping surfaces
• Electromagnetic and electrical power analysis of the propulsion magnet system
• Thermal management analysis of electrical components

Software Skills Expected:

ANSYS (Magnetics), MATLAB and SimMechanics, Vector Fields, LabView,

Programmable Logic Controllers, Visual Fortran, C, C++, Macro-assembly language
